When do queued posts post
Tumblr posts can be published immediately as public or private, saved as a draft, added to a queue or scheduled to be published at a specific time. The queue feature enables Tumblr users to spread posts out over a certain period of time. The queue page is found by logging into Tumblr and selecting a blog title from the top of the Dashboard screen.
Click the "Queue" link to see items in the queue; the small number to the right indicates how many posts are currently queued up. All of the queued posts are displayed together with the time and date they are scheduled to be posted on.
Posts can be edited, published immediately or deleted using the small links in the top right hand corner of each post. Click and drag the small arrows on each post to rearrange items in the queue. Tumblr posts in the queue are published based on the configuration options at the top of the queue page.
Users can set how many posts are published each day, and between which hours; Tumblr then spaces out the queued posts accordingly. Tumblr offers the ability to queue your upcoming posts and automatically publish them over the course of hours or days.
This keeps your blog active without requiring you to be online at the time of publication. You can store up to posts in your queue, and schedule up to 50 a day for publishing. Creating a queued post starts the same as any new post. Write your message and click the down arrow next to the "Publish" button.
