Which gospel to memorize

Exactly days after he has memorized a book of the Bible word-perfectly, his retention of it begins to erode. Once he stops reviewing a book, his ability to recall every chapter and verse of it starts to fade. The months he invested saturating his mind with the book results in a lasting familiarity with the flow and message of the text. Sections of it remain indelibly impressed for immediate retrieval. The lifetime benefits of books memorized years ago is unquestioned. They imagine the little letter of Third John would be as impossible to memorize as the Gospel of John.

In other words, you keep repeating a book, one verse at a time, over and over until you have it. On day one you read Ephesians aloud ten times. July 1, Scripture by Pastor Adam Sinnett. In my personal and pastoral experience, there is no better way to keep the gospel central, clear and uncluttered than memorizing particular passages of scripture that deal explicitly with the gospel.

The act of memorization forces you to define the gospel biblically. The result of memorization is that the gospel is now within you, ready to be recalled anytime you need some gospel encouragement or have an opportunity to share. I have definately not been memorizing much from the Gospels, but I do need to do more. I hope someday I'll have as many verses memorized from the Gospels as I do from the Epistles already. Thanks, Alex, for the reminder.

I have done most of my memorization from the epistles. I need to do more in the gospels. I know that this is not the place to ask for help but as I do not have a get satisfaction account this is the only place I can do it. I was wondering if one of the memverse people could delete my account for me. My number is Great insight Alex. May God bless you Brother. And yes, it is true that we all need the Gospel, as a whole, preached e.

It is the only means for Salvation, and it is God's free gift to us, That is shown and applied by the Holy Spirit. Read Romans chapter 5 as well.
